John Kim

M.A. Christian Counseling, Reformed Theological Seminary Charlotte (2024)

John is a Christian counselor who finds joy in witnessing God's work of hope of healing and restoration in the lives of individuals and couples. He counsels with the core belief that in every question, struggle, or conflict, Christ - the Wonderful Counselor - offers us the presence, love, and the wisdom we need.

John's areas of interest include: spiritual anxiety and depression, cultural identity & immigrant family issues, marital conflict, marital enrichment, premarital and pre-engagement counseling, parenting issues, spiritual abuse recovery, church interpersonal conflicts, and clergy care.

In every counseling session, John endeavors to bring a calming presence and foster trust with his clients through gentleness, non-judgmental listening, and attentive curiosity.

As a church planter, John values deeply the presence of a healthy culture of Christian counseling in Christian communities. Please feel free to reach out to him to inquire about seminars and various training opportunities for you and your community.
